Please be aware that there are many different Apps for reading QR codes. Don't buy any, just download from the Appstore several free apps, and try them out. Later I shall make a list of those, which do not work, but for the moment please find, download and use "Kaspersky" As I have "slowly" learned, the difference is also whether you use a Mac iphone or an android.
Please check out the attachments. They are self-explanatory, but for the moment in German (English will be available within next days). On some smartphones (not on mine) during the process, there appears at the upper right corner a "globe", in another type it is a "compass needle", and one is supposed to click on it (see picture 3). The username is guest, and the password is the first word of page 45 in the book. The password is case sensitive.
